Thomm

a beautiful, slate-shaped old village,

The beautiful village is known for its past slate mining. Many houses in the village are covered with slate. During the World War II, the slate mines sheltered the locals from the Allied forces. The cider, named also the Viez and the pub of the late Alois Gorges are well known in our region. Klaus Brittner successfully ran the cult pub "Gasthaus zur Post" for 25 years, until Christian Grünen and Oliver Marx took it over. At the old church tower starts also the dream loop "Schiefer-Wackenweg".
